A wratten 90 gel filter will work well for B&W in that regard. It will help you judge when color, which would normally provide separation on color stock, will really blend together in B&W. Everything inside the zone, where it is summer, is color. Outside the zone it is winter, and B/W. Except for things that have been touched by the zone.
