conduitstudios
I'm about to shoot a TV show title sequence on DVCAM. it consists of macro shots and close ups of space lab style equipment and the workings thereof. What is a good lighting system to use to give a cold, clinical laboratory feel to the light?
Alvin Pingol
...cold, clinical laboratory feel to the light? Fluorescents come to mind. Balance for tungsten with your standard fluorescent and you'll get a very cold, dull, "lab" look. Of course, and as I've said before, everyone's interpretation will be different. Experiment, see what looks best with the set you have.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted February 13, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted February 13, 2004 Hi, If it's a mini set, I'd get hold of some cold cathode tubes. They're very cold and blue and I wouldn't hesitate to use this sort of scheme for what you're proposing. I built a son-of-wall-o-lite out of these, it's quite handy.
