Nick Mulder Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 The Bolex Pro has sound-sync options as it is quieter - but the EBM can be stripped down of all its accessories and fit into some small spaces if need be, the EBM can also fit all the really nice Macro-Switar preset lenses - hello music videos ... Premium Member Damien Bhatti Posted May 27, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted May 27, 2008 but EBM also can SYNC but the ebm needs an additional sync lock I believe, I think Tobin Systems use to make them, and they are pretty scarce now. the ebm is far too loud for sound work even if you did find a crystal motor. i found this out working in a small space the other weekend. if you are going to pay quite alot for bolex pro anyway, why not look to something like an Arriflex BL or something like that, I get the sense that with the bolex pro it was a "concept," model that they didnt follow up on, thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
