Canon HV30 vs Sony HDR HC9?

Hi

Read all the discussions on the merit of the HV30. Found it very helpful!! Has anyone tried the Sony HDR-HC9, and how does it compare against the HV30?

The Sony lacks any progressive scan function, and the touch screen manual control is in my opinion a real problem. I've tried both cameras, the Sony takes the cake on build quality and comfort, but the Canon produces a much more satisfying image. It's annoying that neither camera has gain control, or more importantly, a full focus ring. If the Sony had progressive scan capability I would have bought in no contest. It feels a lot better built than the Canon, and it feels a lot more comfortable in the hand too.
