As far as I know they did.  I'm not sure exactly where I heard that though, so I could be wrong.  But I distinctly remember hearing that they made the switch.  I think it may have even been on this forum.

Are you referring to this past season or the upcoming one?

In that case, it definitely looks like Super-16 is the predominant format.  But, to be fair, I haven't read anything about how the show is shot since it first came on.

Well, I don't believe they are shooting two different formats. They shot super 16 originally, and then switched to HD....or at least that's what I heard. I rarely see the show, so I can't comment on whether it looks like HD or film.

I watched an episode last night and it did look a lot less grainy than Super-16 normally would. Much cleaner than the original look.

So I really don't know what they're shooting. Maybe we should just read the article and believe Rohn Schmidt. :)

Seems like it.  Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

Maybe not.

The episodes I've been watching are from two seasons ago. Very little grain. They look like they could definitely be either 35mm or HD.

Maybe Schmidt played with a different format, then switched back to Super-16.
