Staff DP Position in Harrisburg, PA

JPL is seeking a Director of Photography to provide creative input to video productions, participate in brainstorming and project planning sessions, and ensure creative motion pictures that engage and inspire target audiences. In this position, you?ll operate professional, digital video cameras and accessories to produce visuals that stand out from the competition and are distinctive in a cluttered media environment.

A year from now, you?ll have a production reel filled with television spots, corporate videos, documentaries and a wide variety of other programs. You?ll have shot on location, as well as in our 1300+ square feet production studio. And, you?ll have directed and lead several talented production crews and worked with professional actors, business leaders and probably even some celebrities.

Successful DP Qualities Include:

? Bachelor?s degree in TV, Film, Fine Arts or related field AND three years experience operating video cameras OR, 5+ years experience operating video cameras

? Exceptional organizational skills and a disciplined approach in adhering to project schedules and timelines

? Experience working with and delegating tasks to production teams

? Experience scheduling production resources, equipment, and talent

? Basic understanding of the Post Production process, including editing, graphics, visual effects, audio, and encoding and replication

? Ability to direct professional and non-professional, on-camera talent

? Experience operating digital video camera and accessories to produce compelling visuals that amplify the message of a treatment or script

? Able to use a variety of camera techniques to invoke an emotional response from target audiences

? Ability to travel, maintain flexible hours, to lift and carry equipment are requirements for this role
