Premium Member Rich Steel Posted February 16, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted February 16, 2004 Looking for recommendations for what stock I should look at using for a short film I'm shooting in Scotland using the aaton a-minima. Shooting mostly outdoors. Very Flat lighting. Landscapes etc... I was going to run with KODAK VISION2 500T Color Negative Film (7218) or possibly Kodak Vision 250D (7246). Has anyone got a preffered stock? or even recommend something diffrent.
Mitch Gross
Shooting outdoors I would suggest the slower stocks. Why do you need to go with a 500 speed for daytime exteriors? You'll just have to put a bunch of ND on the lens, even in dreary Scotland (that one was for Phil). I would consider using 7245 and 7246 for the richest images. And next week Kodak is finally introducing it's new 100T and 200T Vision2 stocks, so perhaps you'll want to consider them along with an 85 filter on the lens.
