Manuel Lopez
Hello. Has anyone tried this camera: Infinity DMC? It appears very interesting, especially because 10-bit recording and 3 CMOS. Regards
Premium Member John Sprung Posted February 23, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted February 23, 2009 I just last week saw a still frame from a test of the Infinity. It's very impressive, dynamic range of 23 stops. The shot was lit by one 500 Watt halogen broad, in the frame, aimed directly into the camera. Everything else is bounce light from this one instrument. You can resolve the coils in the filament that lights the scene, and detail in deep shadows among boxes elswhere in frame. This was shown at HPA, but the still isn't on their web site. -- J.S.
Manuel Lopez
It's very impressive, dynamic range of 23 stops. Are you sure? Negative film is about 14-15 stops, Sony F35 about 13...
Guest Mike Andrade
I shot a test with it a couple months ago. Great resolution for a 2/3 inch chip camera but I seriously doubt 23 stops of DR. That would be way more than the Viper which is superior to this camera in terms of resolution.
