Bleach Bypass

There are no "best stocks" for a bleach bypass to the negative. Since bleach bypass increases graininess and contrast, the only question is whether you like that or want to mitigate one or both. If you want less grain, use a slower speed stock. If you want less contrast, use a low-con stock. For a certain project, bleach-bypassing Vision 800T might be the best approach; for another, it may be EXR 50D.

Since there are no slow-speed low-contrast stocks, your best bet would probably be the new Vision-2 stocks coming out, 100 and 200 ASA. Or pull-processing the stock first.

Since generally you underexpose a stop to compensate for the increase in density when doing a bleach bypass to the negative, using a slower speed stock is less impractical.
