Bucky OConnell
Hey everyone i got a few questions i am hoping some of you can help me with. I am going to be shooting with a canon 1014 E and want to try some negative stocks, most likely Kodak vision2 200t. I would be shooting outdoors, and want to know if this is a good filmstock to use, and if so would i need to use an 85B filter? Get back to me when you can. thanks! Alexander Zabotkin
Hello I guess this is a good choice. I use 7217 in Super 8 for daylight and this is just great. The color correction filter is necessary for daylight. Praсtically, there is no difference between 85 and 85B Good luck
Premium Member Charles MacDonald Posted February 28, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted February 28, 2009 The color correction filter is necessary for daylight. Praсtically, there is no difference between 85 and 85B Almost all Super 8 cameras did come with a built in 85 filter. sometimes you have to put a 1/4 20 screw into the top of the camera where the "Movie bar Light" was intened to mount. the 85 is close enough for colour negative as you have some fudge room when printing or scanning. Alexander Zabotkin
Well, if you want to use a built-in CCA filter you should break a filter notch on the cartridge. Otherwise the filter switch will be disabled when you'll put the cartridge in. Best regards Edited February 28, 2009 by Alexander Zabotkin
