Wolfgang Reigl a retired Arri tech in Los Angeles told me my camera was an Arriflex IIA, so I listed it as such but it was pointed out to me that the serial numbers would make it Arriflex I made during WWII in the early 40's.

I've got it listed here.

If you are interested or have any good info on the camera I would appreciate it. I have run about 30,000 feet of film through this camera and it's still alive and kicking.

Annie,

My very wise wife believes that the way to resolve such dilemmas is to ask yourself how are you going to feel if you decide a week from now to go ahead and jump at something...only to discover it's been sold to someone else.

Argh...the bidding got too high in the last few hours. I just can't throw down $1200 right now. So instead, I will spend a lesser percentage of my hard-earned wages on an Xbox 360 and a new tattoo. Priorities, ya know. :-D

Man, it would've been cool to own that camera though!

Incidentally, the tattoo I'm planning is an Arriflex 16S...

Why a 16S? This is one of a very few places where you could get a 765 for the same money.... ;-)

Damn, that Model I kit went cheap. I paid twice that and got a lot less. Alas, I'm broke too at the moment.
