Premium Member Oliver Christoph Kochs Posted June 2, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted June 2, 2009 The Firmware 1.1.0 was released today as stated by Canon. Full manual mode works with adapted lenses too. I am very happy with this, so thanx to the Canon guys but also to the internet communities who "made them listen". So, please post your experiences with the 1.1.0 firmware here. Thanx Oliver
Premium Member John Sprung Posted June 2, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted June 2, 2009 Does it do 24 or 25 frames per second? -- J.S.
Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted June 2, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted June 2, 2009 Does it do 24 or 25 frames per second? Nope, it just allows manual exposure control. The camera is still only 30P.
Saul Rodgar
Nope, it just allows manual exposure control. Should I assume this allows one to completely bypass the exposure lock (EL) workarounds in video mode? Right on! Now if only Nikon would do the same for the EL and Jello cam issues on the D90, that would be swell!
Tom Lowe
The new firmware is very nice! Rumors are that 24p is coming later. I hope it's true.

Alex Fuchs
Hi, I have a problem with the 5D (Firmware 1.1.0). I mounted a Kipon-adaptor for FD Lenses (no AF and no stop-control) on the cam (it works fine) and it seems, that the cam push the f-stop automatically when I film against lights etc. Anybody an idea how this can be? Does the chip automatically blend up and down? I have no idea, but it sucks... Thanks Alex
