Richard Lipman
Hello, I am a fimmaker and wish to make a film and use the same camera to make documentaries for HD acquisition to Discovery, BBC etc... Any advice about which camera to purchase? Panasonic 301 or Sony EX3? Can anyone send me Discovery's HD delivery requirements? Thanks. Sowatt Music
http://www.repaire.net/news_tests_tutos/te...t_200905131980/ This is the most interesting article about the Panasonic HPX 300. Very independent opinion. only problem is its in french. If u don't read french, the article says that 1. The HPX301 is too noisy. A lot noisier than the EX1 2. The recording format (422 10 bits) of the HPX-301 isn't as good as expected (the author compares shots with the EX1) 3. The HPX-301 has an excellent definition. One of the best around 4. The HPX-301 is very ergonomic compared to the EX-1 5. The supplied optic is ok but notbgreat. Conclusion Noise is a real issue. Camera Body is truely nice. Complete I/O options (2x HDSDI for example).
