mariano monti Posted July 24, 2009 Share Posted July 24, 2009 HELLO, IM FROM ARGENTINA, I HAVE A BOLEX EBM S16mm , THE CAMERA DONT HAVE THE BATERY BASE CONNECTION , ONLY THE 7 pin sockets ON THE BASE OF THE CAMERA, THE PROBLEM IS: I HAVE ONE CABLE , ONE SIDE WHIT 7 pin sockets MALE (TO THE CAMERA), AND IN THE OTHER SIDE 5 pin sockets (TO BATTERY), AND THE BOTTON ON/OFF CAMERA. THE PQM ( CRYSTAL CONTROL UNIT ) HAVE ONE OUT 7 pin sockets FEMALE, ALL THIS WORK GOD IF YOU HAVE THE BATERY BASE , THIS ONE HAVE 2 7pin sockets SO YOU CAN CONECT ONE TO CAMERA AND THE OTHER ONE TO THE PQM, BUT IN ME CASE I DONT NOW HOW TO DO THE CONNECTIONS , SOMEONE CAN HELP ME , IS VERY IMPORTANT , THANK AND SORRY FOR ME BAD ENGLISH. Download the manual here: http://www.apecity.com/manuals/pdf/bolex_h...tric_manual.pdf Solder 10 pieces of 1.2 V NiMH (i'd rather use these as it is newer technology) in a row (solder the plus to the minus to the plus to the minus etc) and get a charger that can deal with NiMH at 12 Volts. Find a housing - preferrably the larger Bolex battery housings that were available for the EL... Get a 7 pole screw in DIN Hirschmann connector here https://www.buerklin.com/gruppene/KapF/F087...asp?l=e#F088700 Download this (if you don`t own a manual for your EBM already) http://www.apecity.com/manuals/pdf/bolex_h...tric_manual.pdf 2 is PLUS 3 is MINUS which is from left to right on the PLUG!!! Cross check this on page 4 of the PDF manual. If it goes wrong: check the fuse. Good luck and have fun with your Bolex. I just love them...
