Are these the only reversal stocks in the world I can buy at present?

Ektachrome 100D color

2 Kodak B&W stocks: Plus-X and Tri-X

Any more?

FOMA makes a B&W reversal film called R-100 in 16mm and regular 8

Filmotec makes a B&W Movie film that is advertised as negative or reversal.

Some firms in europe reperforate and repackage some Fuji E-6 colour stock in 16mm and or various 8mm.

Hey John,

Take a look at Fuji's new Eterna Vivid 160. It's neg but according to Fuji they're calling it a replacement for Velvia. It's gorgeous and I have to say does look a lot like reversal. Rich colors & more contrast than typical neg. It's an incredible stock if you like the reversal look b/c since it is neg it also has more dynamic range than reversal.

I recently did a side by side test with the Vivid 160 and kodak 7285 reversal. I'm sorry to say but the Vivid doesn't come close to reversal.

Great colours and contrast....but just not the same.

David - I'll try and put up some stills from the Vivid

Thanks Serge!

I (personally) need to see it in action... I'll wait for a Project I can take more chances with and order up some rolls. Then post an exposure question.. unless anyone has any advice now? Would love to see some Spots shot with it (Velvia).

... of course somewhere I probably have a demo DVD from Fuji

David i went through this Fuji 160 Vivid thing over a year ago with you !!!! Said you were going to try then ! did you ? . You now have 500 Vivid ! . When Kodak give up soon on motion pic. stocks you will only have Fuji !! John

John,

You (may) want to actually read a thread before responding.

Per your high praises, I tried Vivid 160 and my impression has been noted above  . The subject (for me) has moved onto S16 Velvia.

..and in another related thread I said I prefer 7217 to Vivid 160 in S16...

But, good to see you! What have you been up to?
