Jason Clemons
Hey guys, I was recently working on a shoot that went over. The camera (Canon 5D) was a rental, and had to be returned, so now I have to finish the shoot using an HVX200. The 5D shoots in 1080P @ 30fps (not 29.97). So I'm looking for suggestions as to what HVX format I should use: 1. 720/24P 2. 720/29.97P 3. 1080/60i 4. 1080/24P (60i wrapper) 5. 1080/24PA (interlaced wrapper) The only reason I would consider shooting 720 is the true progressive frames. Am I overthinking this? Your thoughts? --Jason

The HVX is not really a 720 camera, never mind a 1080 camera, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect. You can convert the 720p 29.97 to 1080p 30 in FCP and cinema tools.
