Rohan Dadswell
Convert your old Sony Betacam to a Hyper 35 - 5DmII in a Betacam body http://www.electricfilms.net.au/hyper35conversions.htm
Saul Rodgar
Interesting, but not enough to make me wanna hang on to my old Betacam body, currently slated to be taken to the local electronic graveyard. I wonder how far is similar all-Canon offering with all the bells and whistles. Oh, but not in the shape of an XL-style body . . . Edited October 26, 2009 by Saul Rodgar
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted October 26, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted October 26, 2009 Not s'much in the Betacam body as duct-taped to the front of it, but yes, hm, interesting... Slightly bonkers but like most of these ideas I suspect it works perfectly well.
Michael Maier
This reminds me of those "lamborghini" kitcars based on the horrible and unreliable pontiac fiero. Looks like something that it is entirely not. As Phil said, the betacam body is not of much use. It just makes the thing much bigger and makes you look like you may be shooting with a F900. He could have just as well put all the "improvements" in a metal box with a top handle and it would be just as useful and more compact. Better than a semi empty betacam body. Looks odd.
