Clint Nitkiewicz Hernandez
I want to shoot super8mm at 16x9, do some super8mm cameras shoot 16x9? Anyone care to start a list of super 8mm cameras that shoot 16x9? I am looking around on Ebay but the sellers usually dont know if they shoot 16x9 or 4x3, anywhere I can find specs on super 8mm cameras that say if they shoot 4x3 or 16x9? Thanks, I hope this list we compile is useful for those looking for the same setup!d
daniel mahlknecht
Hi, actually no super8 camera shoots natively 16:9 as far as I know. Max8 or superduper8 modified cameras get closer to 16:9 so you have to crop less of the frame as if you were shooting regular super8. Best choise if you ask me is to shoot anamorphic with an 1,5x anamorphic lens. Here ia an example http://vimeo.com/7863772 Daniel
Andries Molenaar
Better ask Mitch Perkins in Canada. He has likely worked on the largest diversity of camera brands for converting them to superduper8
Alexander Zabotkin
The only way is shooting with modified cameras (such modifications are called as 'Super Duper 8' or 'Max8') Suitable anamorphic lenses are also a great choice but I don't know what you'd prefer. There's no other possibilities. Good luck
