Denny Lajeunesse
Is there an Allen Smithee equivalent for DoP's? For example, you DoP a film and the director or producer decide to change the "look" of the film in post and the resulting CC'd footage looks horrible and you do not want people to think you lit it that way. Vincent Biron
If there isn't, we on this forum should totally come up one! My suggestion: Dan M. Blomete' which is an anagram for "Don't Blame Me" This on cracked me up alright! Man I wish I couldve done that for some of the stuff I've shot... Damn NLEs makin' CC easier to do for those fidgety editors! V. Biron http://www.vbiron.com
Michael B McGee
If there isn't, we on this forum should totally come up one! My suggestion: Dan M. Blomete' which is an anagram for "Don't Blame Me" nice! what nationality would he be? he should have a website and a reel for all editors, directors, and/or producers to watch in order to remind them all why DPs are hired in the first place. New England Patriots'(American football team) head coach, Bill Belichick, has a saying to his players, "just do YOUR job!" i think that should apply to our line of work as well. Premium Member Paul Bruening Posted January 10, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted January 10, 2010 Bad credit's better than no credit. Use my name: Paul E. Bruening. I think it would be a hoot to see my name under about 5,000 production titles on IMDB. "...the hardest working man in the industry!"
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted January 10, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted January 10, 2010 I recommend that "dan" is from Andorra. Or San Marino, someplace small and often overlooked. Perhaps, if we really build him up, as happened here in Philadelphia with another fictitious person, we could get some form of statue or monument for starting up their film industry? For myself, I of course have a few shoots I'm not proud of. They're on my resume, though they aren't on my reel.
