Old Vision Stock

Recommended Posts

I have 400' of Vision250D, which i assume is a number of years old.

How many stops should i open up to compensate for the old stock?

Thanks-

Nick

You should probably have it clip tested. Even knowing all the details about how old it is, how it was stored etc you really can't guess what the base fog has done. Its best just to take it to a lab and get a test done on it and be sure.

Nick: How old is it? How was it stored? It makes a difference if the stock were made in the beginning, middle, or end, of the Vision cycle between EXR and Vision2 stocks.

Storage is important. A glove compartment is a different storage environment as opposed to a freezer. . .

The film was bought from raw-stock.com

I was told it was stored in a fridge/freezer, and i believe he recommended i open up one stop to compensate.

I'm traveling, and therefore unable to have the film clip tested.

Any suggestions? Do you think opening one stop is enough?
