Daniel Parmo
Hi there, Anyone out there with experience in the Sony F35. I'm having serious troubles with the sound guys regarding the noise from the fan even on minimum. We're recording on a Codex Portable HD recorder. Any tips, trixs or ideas? Rob Vogt
Keep the deck attached to the camera if its connected then it can communicate to shut the fan off during the shooting like the red, if the decks not attached it doesn't have all the same communications. The camera should run silent, there is a way to mount the deck on incorrectly and have it only partially attached in which case you can really mess with the electronics, make double sure you've mounted it the right way. Hi Rob, Problem is that we're recording via BNC to a CODEX hard disc recorder. There is no SWR1 to trigger the silent mode, it is running constant in minimum mode. Stephen Price
Turn the F35 camera bodies fan to Min. And move the Codex Recorder as far away as possible and baffle the deck to reduce the fan sound.
