Eric Waldron
I have a quick question that a search of the forums didn't readily show any previous posts of...I have an HVX200 (original) that I got roughly 2 and a half years ago. It's been put through it's paces (operating from -15 to +100 degrees) and works just as well as the day I got it. My question is that even though it shows no signs of wear, is it still a good idea to get it regularly cleaned and/or serviced just to keep things going well? Are there any long term maintenance things I should take care of? I don't use the tape drive anymore, but even still the heads work fine and tape records glitch free (only 200 hours on them.) That's honestly the only preventative maintenance I know about (clean and replace tape heads.) Is there anything else I should look into? Any tips are appreciated! Thanks!
