F Bulgarelli
Hello Does anyone know if Kaminsky used 22 and 31 stocks in this film? I feel like 22 is a bit too grainy. Any comments are appreciated Thanks
K Borowski
Do a search as it has been discussed on here several times. Repeating back what I can remember, they used both. Had a problem, I think, with static marks due to low humidity, I think just with the Double-X which they cured by putting a moist sponge somewhere inside the camera body. If you want to replicate the look, the matter has been rendered academic with the discontinuation of Plus-X. Of course, you could try to obtain some slower-speed B&W stock from another company, Orwo, Fuji, or Svema I think is the ex-Soviet country still in business. Does Foma make 35mm neg. film still? Steve Zimmerman
Does Foma make 35mm neg. film still? About 3 years ago I asked their US distributor if Foma would make me two 400ft rolls of their Classic 100 and 200 on cores for shooting in movie cameras. He got in touch with the manufacturers in the Czech Republic and they said yes. I never did actually order the film though. http://www.freestylephoto.biz/sc_search.php?rfnc=402 http://www.freestylephoto.biz/c_contact.php My contact was Eric Joseph, V.P. F Bulgarelli
Any experiences pushing 5231 and 5222 1 or 2 stops? Thanks
Richard Vialet
Any experiences pushing 5231 and 5222 1 or 2 stops? Thanks I pushed 5231 one stop in anamorphic once. Looks great! The B&W stocks handle themselves pretty well when pushed.
