tim piper
Thanks for reading... I need a new ground glass for a Super 35mm Arri BL4 with a 3 perf movement finishing on HD. I've been getting somewhat conflicting dimensions and was hoping someone could help. I was told that in order to shoot 1:1.78 (HDTV) on an Arri camera the dimensions on the ground glass should be .4980 by .8858 (which I believe is HDTV safe). However, I was told for 3 perf Super it should be .511 by .910 Does anyone have any suggestions. Again here are the specs. Arriflex BL4 3 Perf movement and Super 35 centered. Also, as a side note, if I wanted to see the 2.35/2.40 aspect for letterboxing in HD what would the dimensions be? Thanks.
