You, too, can be in the movies

'Transformers 3' seeks workers on its Brevard sets for Sept. filming

Wanna be in the movies?

Well, there's a chance for you to work on a movie set.

Applications are being accepted now to work on the production crew of the sci-fi action movie "Transformers 3" during shooting in Brevard County in September.

E-mail an updated resume to info@space-coast.com to the attention of Space Coast Film Commissioner Bonnie King, specifying the position and that you want to work on the film while it is shooting in Brevard County.

Crew positions available include grips (workers who handle lights and move cranes), electricians, drivers, special-effects workers and production assistants.

Details on applying for a position as an acting extra on the film are expected to be released in late July, King said.

Scenes from "Transformers 3" will be filmed at Kennedy Space Center and possibly other Brevard sites for about eight days in September. The Michael Bay film is due out in July 2011.

The "Transformers" films are based on a toy line dating back to the 1980s, and feature battles on Earth between extraterrestrial good-guy robots called Autobots and bad-guy robots called Decepticons, both of which can transform into vehicles.

Where will the normal First and Second Units be?
