SMX-12A2C Camera "or" RED-One in 2K ???

What other accessories would you need to make a SMX-12A2C Camera comparable to a RED-One?

The "kit" is as follows:

> # SMX-12A2C Camera

> # Tripod adapter

> # CAT 5E or CAT 6 Gigabit Ethernet cable (optional)

> # Power over Ethernet adapter (optional)

> # Trigger connector

> # IR-cut filter

> # Camera Application Software

> # API Library

I've been investigating this camera, and it's price is very reasonable, but hard to believe it could match the quality of video coming from the RED-One in 2K. I realize the RED-One can go as high as 4K, but I'm only interested in it's comparison with this camera in the 2K mode.

If anyone has the knowledge or experience in using the SMX-12A2C camera I'd appreciate your feedback on this issue.

Thanks.

Erm ... you want accessories to make this:

I think you'd need an awful lot of accessories just to get it up to Handycam functionality, and it would still only give indifferent results. (Or were you being ironic:-)

The SMX-12A2C looks awfully like an industrial camera module to me, particularly in light of the other products they make. There was a dicussion about it on DVXUser about 2 years ago which died after about 6 posts.
