Brian Drysdale Posted November 22, 2010 Share Posted November 22, 2010 If it's a Super 16 lens, there's good chance the image won't cover the sensor. The Super 16 frame is much smaller than the Micro 4/3 used in the AF100, which is closer to motion picture 35mm. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mark Williams Posted December 4, 2010 Share Posted December 4, 2010 Obviously The Super 16mm standard wont cover the four thirds sensor but lenses are often made larger than neccesary. I believe this to be right. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the diameter of the glass on the back of your lens is likely to be how much the sensor will cover. My Zeiss 25mm is 20mm dia for example. Measuring my Zeiss superspeeds I can see that my lenses could cover the sensor except for maybe the 12mm and 9.5mm However I would likely be cropping the frame to 2.35 and missing the corners anyway and if there is some vignetting then you could zoom in or maybe you might like the look and keep it! Be nice to hear if anyone else has tested the Zeiss superspeeds or 16mm lenses. Also I can't wait for Jim Jannards Scarlet to come out as this looks set to clean up.
