Alex Fuchs
Hi out there, does anybody know what kind of chroma subsampling the new Panasonic AG-AF100 has? Found nothing about that at the Panasonic site Data Sheet. Anybody an answer? Thanks a lot Alex
Noah Yuan-Vogel
4:2:0 for avccam recorded internally, 4:2:2 out through HD-SDI to external recorder. You probably wouldnt want 4:2:2 at 24Mbps anyway, since that'd be packing 33% more data into an already rather minuscule compressed bitstream. ie. it'd look like 18Mbps 4:2:0 but with more color resolution. The AF100 has an uncompressed 8-bit SDI output. Currently, there is no way to get full 10-bit output from the camera. http://blog.abelcine.com/2011/01/14/your-af100-questions-answered/
