Hi,

don't know when this came out in the states, but its just recent in south africa.

 

Any thoughts on how Michael Ballhaus managed to expose so much white - clothing, set etc - without it blowing out, an still manage to get even exposure all round.

Since it had a decent budget, I'm sure one thing was that most of the whites were not white but light creme, etc. to make it easier to photograph. Also Ballhaus likes to use the lower-contrast Vision 320T and maybe used it on this movie.
