Guest Rodrigo Martins
Help, please! I am "setted" with a HPX 171 (the European 170) and Final Cut Pro. And wile doing the log and transfer for editing, the footage looses a tremendous amount of light/brightness (or what ever is making it darker). Can anyone help me with this? I am finding very hard to expose because the effect tends to happen only on darker images, not on bright ones. My guess is that it has to do with the proxy FCP uses for the HPX footage: maybe it has a narrower dynamic range than the real thing... Am I right? Is it because I am using the native format (720P N)? Would I have better results in 1080p/i? Would it solve having something like the Matrox MXO2. Rob White
Hi Rodrigo, This sounds to me like it's caused my Apple/fcp's dodgy gamma, what does the footage look like after you render out and watch it on a TV?
Guest Rodrigo Martins
Hi Rob! Thank you for your reply! I can never get back the gamma. You know, once finalcut makes a bit darker, it stays that way... cheers, Rodrigo
