how do you write when there is a word on screen?

when writing a movie script how do I write in the script say, the screen is pitch black and suddenly a word comes up, it could be a title or date, or name, etc.

You could just put it in the scene description as in:

 

"We see a black screen, and then __________ fades in then we . . .."

 

something like that.<br><br><br>edit to add: A script is mearly a guide line. There are conventions of how it should be laid out, but the whole idea of the script is to get across the idea of the scenes as clearly as possible. I often find it counterproductive to put in too many "cut to" Do this, do that edit here ects.<br>
