The device will tell you if your camera motor is keeping sync at the listed speeds. You can also verify 12P and 15P on video cameras like the Panasonic DVX-100 and the HVX200 by adjusting the shutter speed and shooting the speedchecker and slowing the footage down in Final Cut Pro to verify the results.
