Cesar Rubio
I received some feedback that the Bayfiles site crash in the middle of the download , and I was suggested the Dropbox site instead. I hope this will be better for some. Here is the link: http://dl.dropbox.co...-D%20Cinema.pdf Thanks, Cesar Rubio. Cesar Rubio
I reviewed my book and changed a few things, I've got a better understanding of the Stereo Rules and how to apply them. It may not be perfect still, but is an improvement in the right direction. I also included newer camera heads, including 3K cameras that are in the $5000 USD price. And even a 4K camera head that cost less than $7,000! If you are interested in that resolution. I did not reviewed all the book, and maybe this second revision will have many errors also, but hey I am human like you. Maybe the 3rd revision will be better? I hope so... Here you can download the high resolution pictures version (67.3 MB) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/65281919/2nd-D%26A%20Rubio%20S-3D%20Stereoscopic%203-D%20Cinema.pdf And here the low resolution pictures version (6.6 MB). http://dl.dropbox.com/u/65281919/2nd-D%26A%20Rubio%20S-3D%20Stereoscopic%203-D%20Cinema-LQ.pdf In a few days I hope they will be available on the Stereoscopy News site (high resolution) and in the 3D Center USA site (low resolution). Cesar Rubio
There is always something new and better in the horizon, for example the Edius HQX codec. At its highest settings, it offers less compression than Cineform! http://www.grassvall...hitepaper.pdfis I will definitely use this codec in my workflow too. Edius 6.5 is already my preferred NLE for 3-D editing, since it also takes Uncompressed RGB video (Vegas 11 does not). And the Stereo 3-D workflow is the easiest and better I've seen. And Edius is super affordable price wise giving its Professional quality. If you have other NLE's, the "crossgrade" version will cost you around $300. http://tinyurl.com/7au3hlz I should have included this info on my book...and I will, but if you already downloaded the book, here it is for you to take a look at. Cesar Rubio
Ok after a little chat with David Newman from Cineform, he made these corrections to the Eduis HQX pdf: First, Cineform does not care for bit rates (as the Edius pdf says is between 120-400 ), David says that they made up that figure. Cineform only cares for compression quality; so you will get the same quality of 4K or 1080p with Film Scan 2. That obviously is not the case for other codecs including HQX. That when you up the resolution or frame rate, the compression will suffer for the fixed bit rate cap. Second, Cineform does supports Alpha Channel, the Edius document says it does not. So at this point I am still sticking with Cineform then. With the Go-Pro Cineform Studio Premium version (only $300) you can export to FS2 4:4:4 from Streampix 5. Besides, Cineform supports RGB 4:4:4, Edius does not. You can still work with Cineform video (AVI or MOV) on Edius for 3-D editing too. CR. Cesar Rubio
Ok this is the Second Revision V2.0 of my book. It has very little corrections but it’s the latest just in case you want to recommend the book to someone else. Low Quality: http://archive.org/details/Stereoscopic3-dCinemalowQualityPictures Later the High Quality version… Now I will leave the book like this for now, and I will concentrate in producing the Small Recorder. These versions will be available in the Stereoscopy News and the 3-D Center USA site soon too. Thanks, Cesar Rubio.
Cesar Rubio
Here is the HQ version: http://archive.org/details/Stereoscopic3-dCinemaV2.0 The book has been downloaded 300 times in just one place alone, and that reminds me of the movie 300. I am extremely happy, and I hope that the book will inspire the new generation (and maybe the old one too) of 3-D Cinematographers. Also my wish is that MVC manufacturers, recording software developers and portable recorders makers, continue improving their products taking into account 3-D Cinema needs. This market is very important since Cinema inspire people all over the world, so it might be even more important that just production inspection in a factory…which is important too of course. That’s all from me, sorry for so many comments. Thanks to all, that has downloaded the book! Cesar Rubio.
