manoj meka
I am planning to make a movie. I am undecided on the camera to be used. In my country, canon 5d and red one are the standard digital cameras used. From the reviews, I could see Sony FX1/FX1000/ Panasonic hvx200 are more affordable for me. Can any one experienced with these camcorders give me a complete view?
Donald Jeffrey McCoy
I am planning to make a movie. I am undecided on the camera to be used. In my country, canon 5d and red one are the standard digital cameras used. From the reviews, I could see Sony FX1/FX1000/ Panasonic hvx200 are more affordable for me. Can any one experienced with these camcorders give me a complete view? I have shot two films for TV with the Sony FX-1. It does not have the ability or features of the F65 or Arri Alexa but it is not anywhere near their price either. I am happy with the results. Be prepared - it does not have the latatude that you will want but you can work around that. I shot straight to tape but you can bypass that. It is lightweight, easy to shoot and will give you a great picture for DVD or TV release. It does not have XLR inputs but I bypassed that by using a 1/8 - XLR cord and still used a shotgun mic for on board recording. Remember it's the final picture that matters - not how you got there. Good luck with your film. Jeff
