Advice on Lighting in Library

Recommended Posts

Hey all, we're shooting a small scene in a library tonight for a short film we're shooting over this week. The film involves multiple lives of people around a small town as they come in contact with aliens who have come into the town. We're shooting at night and I would like to create some sort of eerie feel to the library relying in only a few lights to illuminate it so that the library has a darker feel to it. We are shooting on the 5d mark iii. I'm just looking for any idea's anyone might be able to throw my way to add to what we're trying to do. Thanks!

Beautiful libary. Where is it? Put some diffusion over the windows get some fresnels outside with CTB on, leave the slatted blinds 1/2 closed and fill with a little smoke. Though the libary might not be happy with a smoke, ask permission.

Add a few practicals dimmed down or with low wattage bulbs in - i.e. 40w.
