Guest Tim van der Linden
Good for me! I'm generally the shortest, youngest-looking person around. Glad we're covering all ends of the spectrum.
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted March 25, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted March 25, 2005 Works for me. Noon? Expect it to be busy at lunchtime though... Kokomo's might be a little more upscale than Dupar's if you want sandwiches, etc.
Premium Member Jayson Crothers Posted March 25, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted March 25, 2005 Saturday at noon? Dupars or Kokomos? Looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone in person.

Premium Member Michael Nash Posted March 25, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted March 25, 2005 Let's make it noon, although yes it will be crowded. If we push it too late I may have to bug out early for another event. I'm flexible on where we eat, I only suggested Dupar's because it's easy to find (for me, I'm not sure where Kokomo's is). It does make sense to meet and stay at one place, in case there are late comers trying to find us. Kokomo's then?
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted March 25, 2005 Author Premium Member Share Posted March 25, 2005 Hi, Umm, err. I just had a mail from Bill settling on Dupar's. I have no idea where either is, so I don't care. Umm.. umm... (tosses coin) Dupar's! Phil
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted March 26, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted March 26, 2005 Dupar's is on the South-West corner at the intersection of Third & Fairfax with the entrance facing out to the street, not into the center of the market. Classic coffee shop / diner fare, known for their pies.

Classic coffee shop / diner fare, known for their pies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just to clarify... Dupar's is actually the NORTH-EAST corner of third and fairfax - but it is the SOUTH-WEST corner of the farmer's market. 6333 West Third St, Los Angeles, CA 90036-3109

Premium Member Michael Nash Posted March 26, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted March 26, 2005 Great. Noon. Dupar's. At least some of us know what each other look like, but for the new folks I guess David's face is the most recognizable from the pictures here. Mark Allen
It was a real pleasure meeting you all today - sorry I had to leave early, but I had a previously scheduled lunch meeting I couldn't cancel. It was great to put some faces to the names.
Guest Tim van der Linden
It was nice meeting everyone, too. Even though I was pretty quiet most of the time, it's always nice getting to know people in person and I enjoyed all of the stories told.

Tenolian Bell
Where did you guys go? I got to the Grove about 15 minutes late. And saw that Dupar's was closed. Went to Kokomo's didn't see anyone familiar. So I figured the whole thing didn't happen or you guys went to a totally different place.
