What are the camera setups going on here? It reminds me of the beach scenes from The Long Goodbye, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, and the farm scenes from Superman. Diffusion/low-con filters? How does one replicate (in 16mm) that soft, slightly obscuring blur? Is it from too strong a sun? What would be a recommended film stock? Exposure? Fuji tends to be a little softer than Kodak, if you wanted to use a softer stock in addition to a filter As to which filter, I dunno, but there are many.
