Brian Drysdale
You need to use your full name, it's one of the forum rules. Regarding storyboards, the process you use depends on if you can draw. You need to break the scenes down into shots, which you draw. A professional storyboard artist I know draws rough little boxes that outline the story, before enlarging to a proper storyboard. Look at some graphic novels or comic books for ideas, you can find parts of storyboards online. Premium Member Bill DiPietra Posted October 15, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted October 15, 2012 You also don't need to be able to draw very well. Some are better than others (some of Scorsese's storyboards are very impressive.) As long as you can convey the size of the shot, perspective, camera angle and maybe an idea of where the light is coming from, you and your crew will have a good sense of what to do once you get on set. I find it to be a big time-saver.
