Cinematography history

Hey all,

 

Im wondering if anyone can help me out, Im working [researching] at the moment my chosen dissertation topic for my last year at university, "The technical advancements of cinematography from the 1960's". I have a good list of material at the moment im going through, but is there anything anyone can reccoment that could be of interest to this topic?

You could get an old copy of Anton Wilson's Cinema Workshop and an old copy of the ASC manual, from the 60s and that would tell you what was new at the time. You could also look for other books about cinematography written in the 60s.The documnetary "Visions of Light" would also be helpful. I would also highly recommend the doc about Vilmos and Laszlo, two of the great 60s cinematographers.
