mike spragg
Hi All, I am about to start principal photography on the next series of Strike Back in South Africa and we have switched to the Alexa. Can any one recommend an underwater housing for the Alexa M that would allow us to shoot in a confined space that is submerging ? Thanks Mike Spragg
Freya Black
Hiya Mike! ewa-marine have this, which is I suspect a custom housing and it looks a bit more splash proof than a full underwater housing but I could be wrong: Hydroflex have this for the Alexa but theres no talk of the alexa M although there is talk of sending cables to the surface: http://www.hydroflex.com/site/cameras/arri-alexa.html I'm assuming you just want to put the head in the water and cable it out of there! :) Sounds like an interesting idea but I warn you that you are getting a bit cutting edge with the Alexa M. I've not seen one actually in use yet sadly. Then again I live in the uk! Hope that helps a tiny bit! Do let us know how you get on! :) love Freya
