Gordon Highland
Incident at Loch Ness. It's a mockumentary where a video crew is documenting a film crew's documentary shoot. It's actually a very similar premise to a short that I'm wrapping up right now, so that's kinda discouraging (i shot SDX900). Anyway, all the stuff that isn't 16mm is DVX, which is pretty much the whole movie. It looks really good because they were able to keep the contrast control in check with all the grey skies at the Loch. There's not a lot of great lighting or anything, but it looks natural and holds up well on DVD. I assume they made the transfer from the original video instead of the film blow-up, but i could be wrong. It's a funny flick, and the guys even stay in character on the special features. Patrick Neary
...and did you catch John Bailey's comment to the producer that because they were shooting 24p, the tape had to go to the lab, just like film!
Jan Crittenden
There are a number of films that have been shot on the DVX and are available on DVD. I have three on my desk as an example. One is totally hilarious called Market 175, you can find most of these via google. Another is Silent Amy, and the other is The Radio Mecahnics. There is another one that was about a bunch of handicapped folks scaling up to the base camp on Mt. Everest, that is pretty cool and then we also have a Demo DVD, send me a private email and Let me know where to send it. Best regards, Jan

I've only seen the trailer and would love to see the entire film (as well as knowing more about how it was shot: camera settings, filters (if any), and the post treatments used, as it is quite the bit of eye candy and style a la' Tim Burton! http://www.silentamy.com/MainPage.html http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t...ight=silent+amy
