Guest Vadim Trofymenko
Hi, I have a scene in my short film where one of the actress has her head submerged in the bathroom sink. I want to film it from underneath so we can see her face. Anybody have some ideas?
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted March 5, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted March 5, 2013 You'd normally build a fake sink with an acrylic of glass bottom. What I'd do is buy a real sink which matches the bahtroom sink in the film, cut the bottom off, and then use aquarium silicone to put a piece of glass on the bottom. Or; verses-depending on the size of the sink, maybe put a go-pro into it?
Guest Vadim Trofymenko
Good idea, but not an option. I need something easier and cheaper. Perhaps, I can use a transparent glass bowl for it? I think it might work.

Brian Smokler
GoPro camera. It's waterproof. The lenses on them are pretty wide, and it might work in a deep enough sink..
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted March 6, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted March 6, 2013 Without building anything, as mentioned, GoPro is the best I can think of for you (short of something like a perescope lens (like the T Rex) though those are probably waayy out of budget)

Guest Vadim Trofymenko
Fish tank is an option. Simple and effective. I'll post a video of final scene in April. Thank you guys for all your replies.
