What does a "Great" Director do? Coming from a Cinematographers perspective?

Strictly from a cinematographer's point of view, I like it when a director is able to collaborate in a way that respects the knowledge and experience backing our perspective. A great director should be able to trust the cinematographer because they have so much other stuff to worry about! haha
