Junichi Koganemaru
Hello forum! I recently came across a video on youtube and really liked the texture of the film...It seemed to be taken with the camera down below(with standard 8mm film I believe? not quite sure). Does anyone recognize what camera it is? Thanks in advance! -J
Heikki Repo
Looks like Canon Scoopic 16mm: http://www.erkanumut.com/?s=16m
Andries Molenaar
It is unexposed super-8 film on the table. Odd while this belongs in a cassette and there is no purpose in yanking it out as this ruins it. The camera is a Canon Scoopic. Likely for Super-

Miguel Loredo
The Canon Scoopic was a 16 mm, or a Double-Super-8 camera (DS8 uses no cartridge for the film, just spool, and gives Super8 film as a result).
David Cunningham
Definitely 16mm and not 8mm, super 8 or ds8. If it were DS8 film it would be perforated on both sides.

Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted August 26, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted August 26, 2013 Scoopics are great 1st 16mm cameras. Not the steadiest camera out there but they are the easiest motion picture film cameras to load & operate on the planet (except Super 8), the lens is not interchangeable but is amazing and the autoexposure is great for someone coming from Super 8 or video.
