Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted September 24, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted September 24, 2013 Saw this on Sunday -- if you are in Los Angeles, don't miss this! http://www.lacma.org/art/exhibition/under-mexican-sky-gabriel-figueroa—art-and-film
Jason Outenreath
Gabriel Figueroa is one of the most underrated, and greatest cinematographers of all time. This looks amazing! Americans while naming their favorite cinematographers rarely venture outside of a name that ends in ASC (all of whom are amazing artists by the way!), but there is an immense wealth of talent all over the world. I think Figueroa is on the same level as Gregg Toland, Hal Mohr, Leon Shamroy, any of the great American cinematographers.
Premium Member Miguel Angel Posted October 1, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted October 1, 2013 Such a great cinematographer! It's a pity I'm not in LA to see the exhibition but I highly recommend that everybody interested in cinematography and photography goes! Thanks for posting it David. Kindest regards.
