Corrado Magalotti
Hi all, I'm a newbie on forum and on lens for my new BMPCC. I've just bought an old fashionable lens Angenieux zoom F1.9 9.5-57mm (arri ST mount) for my BMPCC. Unfortunately is not cover the super 16 sensor on camera, 'cause the lens is a 16mm. Is anybody know if somebody can "upgrade" this lens to super 16? for pics here's a link thanks for any suggest in advance. all the best. Brian Drysdale
You could contact Abakus, they used to make them, I don't know if they still do. http://www.abakus.co.uk/
Corrado Magalotti
Unfortunately not Abakus neither Duclos. I'm thinking to sell away the lens. So good but not I'm satisfied.
Brian Drysdale
I suspect the market for the 16mm to super 16 lens conversions may have gone, unless more Super 16 sized sensor cameras come out. You need an optical technician for these units because they're fitted to the rear of the lens and aren't an add on accessory like a range extender. Premium Member Matthew W. Phillips Posted April 22, 2014 Premium Member Share Posted April 22, 2014 I had read somewhere that even S16 lenses aren't guaranteed to cover the sensor since the sensor is not truly the same as a S16 frame. Might want to step up to 35 lens to be sure but then you have the crop factor to deal with.
Brian Drysdale
You could try a x 1.4 range extender, if you get a good one the quality drop off mightn't be too bad.
Brian Drysdale
You could check out these people, they seem to be developing a x 1.2 for this job. http://digitaloptik.net/products/ Edited April 24, 2014 by Brian Drysdale

Brian Drysdale
The new cine ones I came across are expensive. Perhaps best thing maybe to check out ebay for the ones that Optex used to sell, they had the brand name Colcine. http://www.truelens.co.uk/index.php?webpage=store.php&cID=52324 sell range extenders, you need to contact them.
