Tobias Marshall
Im shooting a concept film for an artist who want to reenact a scene from 'Funny Games' where the boys enter the house and first attack the family. I was wondering if anyone had any information on the lenses used, the camera sheets would be the best resource but any help would be greatly appreciated. John E Clark
Jürgen Jürges was the cinematographer, for the 1997 german version of "Funny Games"(1997). Here's a URL for a german cinematographer's organization, where there is an entry for Jürges http://www.kinematografie.org/cameraguide/detail.php?id=142 I don't know if he would 'answer up' to a email from this site, but that seems to be about the only way you could get 'detailed' info on the film from the cinematography point of view. Another german cinematographer who has made a number of german films as well as a few Hollywood productions with Tom Twyker, has written books on the cinematography, but one needs to read German to beable to understand... On the other hand, if you were thinking of the 2007 'english language' version... the cinematographer was Darius Khondji. There may be some American Cinematography articles, but perhaps not.
