John Walker
I'm looking into fiddling around with movie making. I was heavily influenced by The Golden Age of Comedy series when I was younger and have always had a soft place for 1920's era silent films. What type of gear would I need to reproduce the looks of say, Laurel and Hardy shorts such as this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDgnqfepRfI I'm not looking to get fancy of anything, just something to let me know if this is a hobby I should pursue. Chris Burke
a super 8 camera and shoot with 7266. Or even better a regular 16mm camera and shoot with 7222.
Chris Burke
Especially because it is non sync, I am assuming, it is very cheap and easy. You can get a good camera with full manual control for 150. Look at Nizo, Canon, Sanyo plus many others. That's for super 8. Rehearse your actors and the action many times and you can make such films With the exact look of Laurel and Hardy.
