Mi Ki
I am looking for a job in camera department. The problem is - most of the project are shot with Alexa or RED and my only experience is only with DSLRs. So I would like to learn more about Alexa and RED cameras. (I cant rent them, they are too expensive for me). Do you know about any books/workshops on the internet?
Brian Drysdale
Rental companies are often will to let you practice on equipment on their premises. There are also one week courses/workshops on using these cameras, which includes hands on experience. If you check the Arri and RED web site you'll find manuals and menu simulations. If you want a job, you'll need to get hands on experience, these cameras are different to DSLRs.
Brian Drysdale
Although aimed at current professionals, these are examples of workshops: http://www.gbct.org/trainingcourses.html BTW You need to use your real name here. I notice you go under a different one in another real name forum where you've asked the same question,
