Jerry Murrel
I'm interested in hearing from editors who have used FilmConvert. How well does it match specific film stocks, such as 5279, 5219, etc? Are any of the older EXR stocks supplied as LUTs? http://filmconvert.com/purchase/default.aspx?promo_code=bloom -Jerry Murrel Cinevision AR Little Rock
Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted February 16, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted February 16, 2015 Hi Jerry, I can't speak to matching but I can tell you the cine stock choices are a bit limited. 5207 - Kodak v3 250D 5213 - Kodak v3 200T 8543 - Fuji Eterna 160T Vivid 8553 - Fuji Eterna 250T 8563 - Fuji Eterna 250D And then a bunch of stills stocks: Color Reversal - Fuji Astia 100, Provia 100, Velvia 100 B&W Negative - Fuji Neopan, Ilford Delta 400, Delta 3200, FP4, Kodak TMax 100, Tri-X 400 Color Negative - Fuji 400H, 160s, Superia 400, Kodak Portra 400 Polaroid 600 The only ones I use consistently are: Fuji 8553 (warm, lower con color neg look), Kodak 5213 (cool, contrasty color neg look), Ilford Delta 3200 (blsck and white). Most of the still film emulations don't look right to me.
